Traffic Records in Monroe County
Traffic tickets and infractions in Monroe County land in Monroe Circuit Court. The state directory shows no separate city or town trial court here. Indiana MyCase handles the searching. Case numbers beginning with IF cover infractions, while OV or OE covers ordinance and similar matters. Open a public result and you can see the case number, citation number, charge, status, Appear By Date, court events, financial data, and disposition.
Want the local angle? The Monroe Clerk traffic page is the county's own explanation. It covers how citations work.

That page tells you to confirm the ticket in MyCase before calling. The Clerk of Court keeps the Circuit Court file, and its nine divisions hear the cases assigned to them.
Monroe MyCase Citation Lookup
Indiana MyCase is the public search for traffic cases. Pick Case search, then enter the citation number or the full case number, choose Monroe County, and open the summary that matches. Lost the ticket? A party-name search works as a fallback. Just avoid typing a case number and a citation number into the same query.
| Field | Type | Required | Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Case Number | Text | No | Uniform court number if known. |
| Citation Number | Text | No | Identifier printed on the ticket. |
| Party/Name | Text | No | Last name with optional first name and DOB. |
| Court | Dropdown | No | Select Monroe County. |
Monroe County offers no separate public traffic-search form of its own. AllPaid is a payment vendor only, and it cannot show the full docket.
How to Look Up Monroe Tickets
Begin with the identifier printed on the ticket itself. Check that the result names Monroe County and the offense date lines up. Then read the status, the Appear By Date, the latest event, and the amount as of the displayed date. Too new to show up? Use the phone or the counter instead.
- Identify the citation number and issuing court information.
- Search that citation in MyCase with Monroe County selected.
- If needed, search the party name with optional date of birth.
- Call the Clerk at 812-349-2614 or Traffic Division at 812-335-7274 or 812-349-2609.
- Visit Suite 201, 301 N College Ave, Bloomington, when online and phone channels do not resolve the record.
At the counter, bring the citation and the case number with you. Mail goes to the Clerk at PO Box 547, Bloomington, IN 47402. Always confirm the amount before paying.
Monroe AllPaid Is Not MyCase
AllPaid, once called GovPayNow, processes payments. It is not a Monroe County traffic docket search. The route is PLC 2245 plus the citation number. Card details, payer name, and billing address are part of the payment workflow, not the court file. The landing does not publish the service fee.
The AllPaid landing makes the vendor role plain.

Search and verify the case in MyCase first. A payment processor gives you none of the chronology, court date history, or certified file.
Finding Monroe Traffic Court Dates
The Appear By Date on the citation is your deadline. It's when you must pay, seek diversion, or take court action. It may not match a trial date. In MyCase, look at the latest setting plus any later reset or order. Monroe County posts no separate public daily-calendar portal. So call the Clerk or the division when the summary is unclear.
| Citation number | No uniform format was published; use the ticket’s exact identifier. |
|---|---|
| Case number | May resemble 53C02-1512-IF-005367. |
| Appear By Date | Deadline shown on the citation and sometimes the case header. |
| Setting | Date, time, division, judge, and location when posted. |
| Status | Pending, admitted, closed, paid, or another court status. |
The Clerk page lists Friday Traffic Court at 1:00 p.m. The Prosecutor page says 1:30 p.m. and points to different rooms. Check the ticket and call before you appear.
Monroe Friday Time Conflict
Two official pages give conflicting Friday start times. That is a live verification issue, not a matter of picking a favorite source. What controls is the citation, the latest case entry, and direct confirmation from the Clerk. Call 812-349-2614 with your citation or case number ready.
Confirm before travel: do not rely on either published Friday time without checking the current setting with Monroe County.
Continuances and resets can move a date after the first setting. Read every later event too. The Monroe County court calendar information page explains how settings and reset entries relate.
Paying or Contesting Monroe Tickets
The Appear By Date drives your response. You can pay in person, by mail, or online. In person, the Clerk takes cash, debit, or credit, and a cardholder needs identification. Mail must use guaranteed funds. So send a money order or certified check to the Clerk with the case number and the payer's full name. For online or phone payment, AllPaid uses PLC 2245 and the citation number.
| Paying | Contesting |
|---|---|
| Resolve through Clerk-approved payment channels. | Request the court procedure before the deadline. |
| May record admission, judgment, and payment. | May lead to a bench-trial setting with the issuing officer. |
| In person, mail, online, or phone. | Follow the citation and Clerk instructions. |
| Confirm the current amount first. | Confirm Friday time and room first. |
Want an extension? Request it before the Appear By Date by calling 812-349-2614. The Clerk decides whether one is available, not a generic online statement.
Missed deadline: failure to appear or pay after judgment may lead to an Indiana BMV suspension until the court reports appearance or disposition.
Monroe Infraction Diversion Path
A voluntary Infraction Diversion Program may cover a qualifying offense. Finish it successfully and, per the Clerk's description, the ticket is dismissed. No conviction and no points follow. Fail to finish, and the citation returns to the court docket for prosecution. The program fee is not refundable either way.
The Monroe Prosecutor IDP page spells out the program.

The Prosecutor lists 812-349-2685 and IDP@co.monroe.in.us for program questions. Since official pages disagree on some times and rooms, confirm the current eligibility, deadline, fee, and appearance instructions.
Monroe Traffic Chronology Codes
A redacted Monroe infraction record showed a run of court-register events. QCSNEW marked the case opening. DET appeared with judgment or admission. ADMCLOSE marked administrative closure, and ADMTPF recorded the citation paid in full. BMVSR16ZNT logged an electronic SR16 transmission to the Indiana BMV.
- Appear By Date
- The deadline for payment, diversion, appearance, or other directed action.
- ADMTPF
- An observed paid-in-full traffic entry.
- BMVSR16ZNT
- An observed electronic court transmission to BMV.
- Disposition
- The result or status that resolves the court matter.
Read each code with its full description and date. A transmission entry proves court activity; it does not make the court docket into the BMV's separate file.
Court Traffic Record vs Driver Record
Two different offices hold two different files. The Monroe County Clerk keeps the court case. That file has the citation itself, any filings, the plea or admission, hearing settings, the judgment, payment, and the disposition. The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles keeps the driving record, which tracks licensing data along with any reported convictions or suspensions. A Monroe County traffic disposition can be transmitted to the BMV. Even so, a court docket copy and a driver record are still separate requests to separate offices. The Indiana BMV record page lays out what that agency's own record covers.

The BMV lets you view a record for free, while an official certified driving record costs $4. That fee belongs to the BMV alone. It has nothing to do with what the Monroe Clerk charges for a court-record copy of a traffic docket.
| Court traffic record | Driver record | |
|---|---|---|
| Custodian | Monroe County Clerk | Indiana BMV |
| Shows | Citation, events, plea, judgment, payment | Licensing history and reported actions |
| Get it | MyCase or Clerk request | BMV record service |
Monroe Traffic Fees and Copies
The statewide trial-court schedule lists $70 in infraction or ordinance costs. Other statutory components can add to that figure. Treat $70 as a baseline, not a guaranteed total for any specific Monroe County ticket. AllPaid adds its own service fee for online processing, so confirm the current amount before paying. The Monroe Clerk's copy fees, search fees, and local failure-to-appear amounts are not published online. Ask the clerk's office directly.
| Item | Supported amount or status |
|---|---|
| Infraction/ordinance cost component | $70 in statewide schedule; other components may apply. |
| AllPaid service fee | Not published in inspected landing; confirm before payment. |
| Plain court copy | Current Monroe amount not located; ask Clerk. |
| Certified court copy | Current Monroe amount not located; ask Clerk. |
| Certified BMV record | $4 from BMV, not a court-copy fee. |
Paying a Monroe County traffic ticket by mail? Use guaranteed funds and write the case number plus the payer's full name on the payment. Do not mail cash, and do not treat a portal total as current until the county confirms it.
Bloomington Parking Is Separate
Bloomington parking tickets run on a separate track. A city parking citation may go through Bloomington's T2 administrative portal instead of the Monroe Circuit Court traffic docket, so read the issuing agency and the instructions printed on the notice. If the citation has become a Circuit Court infraction or carries a Monroe case number, search MyCase. A city parking ticket that stays administrative belongs to Bloomington's own process. Ellettsville and Stinesville keep municipal records too. Neither town is listed as a separate current trial court. What matters is the type of notice, never the driver's home address.
